Shipping and Ordering Policy:

We use USPS or UPS to ship our orders depending on the weight, size and destination. If you provide a P.O. Box delivery address, we will use USPS to ship your order. A telephone number must be provided by you at checkout to provide to the shipping carrier. Some products are unusually heavy and cannot receive free shipping. These will be clearly noted on the online store. Sales tax is not included in the required amount to reach free shipping. The price of ground shipping from the Institute for Progressive Medicine Supplement Store is as follows:

Shipping to Canada and International Shipments
There is a flat-rate charged on orders to Canada as posted above. Usual transit time is 6-10 days for USPS International. Any duty and tax to be paid for an order is the responsibility of the customer. The Institute for Progressive Medicine Store does not ship to international locations other than Canada at this time.

Methods of Payment
We accept VisaMastercardDiscover, American Express and Paypal. For your security, we do not save credit card data on our servers. Paypal users must have a US based account verified by Paypal to order products from IPM. Non-US Paypal accounts are blocked.

Coupon Codes
Discount coupon codes are occasionally provided as a promotion for use on the IPM online store to be applied at checkout. Coupon codes are valid for online orders only and may not be used for phone orders or in our physical supplement store. Coupon codes apply to regularly priced items on our online store and are not applied to items already marked with a discounted price. Please ensure your order is still over the minimum amount required for free shipping AFTER you apply a coupon code. Sales tax is not included in the required amount to reach free shipping. To ensure your code is applied properly, please make sure to enter it on checkout. Our online store software does not allow our staff to apply a coupon code after an order is placed.

Shipment Timing
Most orders are shipped 1-3 business days after the order is placed. Shipments do not go out Saturday or Sunday, and all orders received Friday afternoon or over the weekend are processed the following Monday. We do not ship orders on company holidays.

We maintain stock for many items in our store inventory. Occasionally an item will be out of stock when an order is placed. In this case the order will not ship until any back-ordered items are received in our office. If this is more than an extra day or two from the time you place your order, you may receive an e-mail detailing when the products will be shipped and any other special situation regarding your order.

Lost or Damaged Shipment
If your order has not arrived in the expected time there may be a delay with the carrier. Please use tracking information provided by e-mail to track your package. If you did not receive a tracking number, check your spam box or email orders@iprogressivemed.com to request tracking information.

If your tracking information shows your order was delivered but you have not located the package, first check around your location and with direct neighbors to see if the package was misplaced. If the package cannot be located, please submit a missing package report to the carrier. If it has been less than 2 weeks since date of shipment, allow the courier time to redirect the package in the event of a mis-routed parcel. Once the carrier has responded to your submission and if they were still unable to help you locate the package, please e-mail us at orders@iprogressivemed.com

We cannot be responsible for stolen or missing packages that were properly delivered by USPS or UPS, as evidenced by tracking documentation – NEVER order packages to a location where they may be stolen. We will not be able to replace them.

Cancel or Edit Your Order
If your order has already been processed, you will not be able to cancel or edit it. You may refuse the package or return it unopened. Any refused or cancelled order that has shipped is subject to a 10% restocking fee, plus actual shipping fees and/or return shipping fees.We cannot be responsible for refused packages that do not arrive back at our facility.

Prop 65 Notification Information (for California residents only)
Some products on our website are required by California State law to carry a Proposition 65 notification. As a note, most products that carry this Proposition 65 notification have even fewer heavy metals or toxic materials than an average serving of organic spinach or watermelon. For more information on Prop 65, CLICK HERE.

Resales Prohibited
Reselling products purchased through IPM’s online store is strictly prohibited. This includes direct resales or sales via online services such as Amazon, Ebay, or Craigslist. Reselling products violates the sales agreements that we have with most of our manufacturers. If it is discovered or suspected that a customer is engaging in resales of products purchased through our online store, all pending orders will be refunded and canceled. Reseller information is shared with manufacturers for black-listing purposes.

Packaging Materials
We reuse and repurpose almost all of our packing materials including boxes, foam or packing peanuts, paper padding and bubble-wrap. This helps us keep shipping costs down and is much better for the environment. We do not use insulated foam shipping containers when we pack items with ice packs.

Returns:

The Institute for Progressive Medicine Online Store staff is committed to providing you with physician-quality products and outstanding customer service.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the products we sell, we are unable to accept opened items for return. If you would like to return an unopened item or if you have received a damaged or defective item in a shipment, please contact us via email when you receive your package and within 15 days of the date of purchase. Please include the following in your return request:

  1. Your name
  2. Your order number
  3. What products you want to return
  4. What the problem is with the products

For products returned within 15 days, you will receive a credit back to the original payment method used on your order (minus shipping charges) Credits usually post within 2-5 business days after we receive your return. Heat Sensitive Products and Storage FAQ:

Many patients and customers ask us about the proper storage and shipment of heat sensitive products. We have added some FAQ questions to provide some answers here. If you have additional questions, please call us at 949-600-5100 or e-mail orders@iprogressivemed.com

Q: What are some examples of heat sensitive products?

A: Some Probiotics, essential oils, ozone products, glutathione, and other products may be heat sensitive. These products should be stored in a cool, dry place, or in the refrigerator once you receive them and as labeled by the manufacturer.

Q: My package arrived warm. Is the product okay?

A: Yes, the product is totally fine. Most heat sensitive products may be shipped without cold packs over short duration. As long as they are stored cold long-term, they will be fine. Cold products MAY be shipped with an ice pack to keep them closer to room temperature during transit time. If there is a cold pack it will almost always arrive thawed and warm. The majority of our shipments are NOT shipped on an ice pack. If you have any questions, please call us before you order.

Q: My heat sensitive product is warm, is it okay?

A: Yes, heat sensitive products can be exposed to higher heat for shorter periods of time and still maintain potency. These products are NOT designed or packaged to be stored at high heat for long periods of time (weeks or months). Cold packs MAY be included with these products to help keep them cooler for longer during shipment. If you have any questions, please call us before you order.

Q: Should I store all of my products in the refrigerator or freezer to keep them cold?

A: Not necessarily. The enemies of potency and shelf-life for nutritional supplements are usually oxygen, heat and moisture. Storing a large bottle in the fridge that you will open many times before it is empty will increase the moisture content inside the bottle each time it is opened due to condensation. If the product is not labeled for refrigeration it is better to keep it in a dark, cool and dry place such as a cabinet or pantry. Leave any moisture absorbing packets inside the bottle to maintain dryness inside.

Q: One of my products that I have been using for some time now has passed the expiration date printed on the bottle. Can I still use this product safely?

A: Most likely, yes. Almost all of the products sold at IPM are pharmaceutical grade, and many of them are guaranteed for the potency marked in the supplement facts box all the way up to the expiration date. In fact many manufacturers of high quality supplements will include 105% or more of the label claim for each ingredient to ensure it will be potent by the expiration date on the bottle. For this reason, if a bottle has been stored properly without moisture, light and oxygen, the product should be good for months after the date on the bottle. This is especially true if it is still sealed.

Q: My product has an “manufactured on” date instead of an expiration date. How long is this product good for?

A: As a rule of thumb, most products with a manufactured-on date instead of an expiration date are good for 24-36 months (2-3 years) from the date marked on the bottle. Some products may be good for longer than 2 years. If you are uncertain, you should check directly with the manufacturer for their recommendation.
