A full-spectrum methylation formula for the support of all major methylation pathways. EXPLANATION OF INGREDEINTS: S-adenosyl-L-methionine: (from S, S S-adenosyl-L-methionine tosylatedisulfate) A primary methyl donor and critical cofactor for all major neurotransmitter biosynthetic pathways, including the final conversion of the catecholamine pathway from Norepinephrine to Epinephrine. Trimethylglycine: Also known as betaine anhydrous, a major methyl donor. Vitamin B6 as Pyridoxal-5’-phosphate: Coenzyme form of Vitamin B6 as P5P; critical for neurotransmitter production. F5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (active form of Vitamin B9): Vitamin B9 is essential for the central nervous system (CNS) because of its ability to regenerate neurons. It is also used in DNA and RNA synthesis in cells throughout the body. Studies have shown it not only prevents neural tube defects in the embryo, but it can also be effective in enhancing growth, repair, and recovery of the injured CNS in adults. Methylcobalamin: Coenzyme form of Vitamin B12; methyl donor; important in neurotransmitter function
MethylMaxâ„¢ may be recommended after inhibitory balancing has begun (Prolentâ„¢ and Lentraâ„¢) but before introducing excitatory support (Contegraâ„¢ or ProciteDâ„¢), especially in patients with elevated norepi/epi ratio or those indicating issues with blood sugar instability or blood pressure elevation. No specific contraindications known other than for individuals who are hypersensitive to any of the MethylMaxâ„¢ ingredients. Caution should be exercised, however, when using SAMe in patients with a known history of bipolar disorder or any form of manic depression or psychosis.
